Health Conditions

Lifestyle impacts your health.

Choose Optimal Health

Choices you make each day impact your health. The benefits of a healthy lifestyle cannot be over emphasized. Health living must be a priority! A healthy lifestyle includes choosing to eat a healthy diet, maintaining a healthy weight, reducing your stress, drinking plenty of pure water, and exercising to promote optimal health. The importance of a positive out look on life cannot be underestimated.

However, at one time or another, we all are challenged with a health condition. The following pages will hopefully help you to cope with these trying times*. They contain suggestions for changes to your lifestyle, diet and supplementation protocol*. Of course you must discuss theses recommendations with your physician as each case is different.

General recommendation include:

  • Eat a healthy diet high in whole, unprocessed foods (grains, legumes, vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds). Processing frequently removes many of the health benefits of these foods. Eating an orange will bring you more health benefits than drinking a glass of orange juice. The fresh orange will allow you to consume less sugar, more fiber and flavonoids.
  • Supplement your diet with a quality, balanced multi-vitamin (men and non-menstruating woman should not sulpplement with iron unless directed by you doctor), vitamin C, vitamin E and GLA.
  • Eliminate or reduce your consumption of sugar, caffeine and alcohol.
  • Make time to relax. If necessary schedule time with family or friends. Practicing relaxation exercises throughout the day may also help to reduce your overall stress. These exercises need only take 10 to 15 minutes. Relaxation exercises include deep breathing, visualizations, prayer or meditation.
  • Get regular exercise. Varying the types of exercise and having an exercise buddy can help you maintain your commitment to your exercise routine.
  • Identify food allergies and eliminate those foods from your diet.
  • Last, and certainly not least, drink 8 - 10 eight ounce glasses of pure water each day.

To find recommendations about a health condition*, click on the links to the left. This area is actively under construction. If you would like information about any conditions not listed , use the contact information at the top or bottom of this page and we will be glad to help you.
